The goal is to be the first player to discard all their cards (Hand, Guard, and Secret cards). The game ends when one player reaches 150 points or more, and the player with the lowest score wins.
Card Setup
Each player starts with 8 cards in hand and 4 stacks of two cards in front of them:
**Guard Card:** The top card of the stack, visible and playable.
**Secret Card:** The bottom card of the stack, face-down and only playable once the Guard card is gone.
Turn Actions
On your turn, you must play a card (or group of matching cards) from your Hand, any uncovered Guard card, or any remaining Secret card.
1. Playing Cards (Discard)
You may play any card(s) that match the rank of the top card on the discard pile (or any card if the pile is empty). You can play multiple matching cards at once.
**Play Safe:** Card value $\le$ Pile Top value.
**Play & Pickup:** Card value $>$ Pile Top value, and the card is not a 10. **You must play the card and then pick up the entire discard pile into your hand.** Your turn continues.
2. Special Actions
**10 (Clear):** Playing a 10 immediately clears the entire discard pile (removing it from play). The player who played the 10 takes another turn. **It is wasteful to play multiple 10s at once.**
**Four of a Kind (Clear):** If playing a card results in four cards of the same rank being played consecutively (e.g., 5, 5, 5, 5), the pile is cleared, and the player takes another turn.
3. Playing Secret Cards (Commitment)
If you have no cards in your hand or guards that you can or want to play, you must flip a Secret Card.
Clicking a Secret Card **commits you to playing it**. It will flip face-up and be automatically selected.
Once committed, you **must play** this card, but you may add any matching cards from your hand or guards to discard them all at once.
If the Secret Card results in a **Play & Pickup**, your turn continues after the pickup.
4. The "Out" Condition
A player goes "out" when they successfully discard their last card (hand, guard, or secret) *without* triggering a mandatory pile pickup.
Scoring
When a player goes out, others score points for cards remaining:
